All Men Are Dogs, Some Men Are More Dog Than Others
Any person who has a wide circle of female acquaintances is familiar with the observation that behavior patterns of the human male animal are about as caring, thoughtful, and sophisticated as the etiquette of the common dog.
Any male human who has been present for the man-is-dog conversation has learned the futility of denying the canine-bro connection. A group of proactive dudes in England has gone even further and fervently embraced their doggish characterization.
A documentary called The Secret Life of Human Pups, airing on staidly British Channel 4 Television, exposes the clandestine play dates of men who dress up and behave like curs, usually in the privacy of their own secure home settings but also, apparently, while leashed and crawling upon city streets.
From The Guardian:
The world of pup play grew out of the BDSM community and has exploded in the last 15 years as the internet made it easier to reach out to likeminded people. While the pup community is a broad church, human pups tend to be male, gay, have an interest in dressing in leather, wear dog-like hoods, enjoy tactile interactions like stomach rubbing or ear tickling, play with toys, eat out of bowls and are often in a relationship with their human “handlers.”
Oh, to be in England!
