Twenty After: Zika Virus in Three Dimensions


Have you ever wondered what a virus would look like in 3D? 

While Martin Shkreli comes damn close to pulling off that look IRL. But Thursday,Visual Science came a bit closer, with its model of the Zika virus.

If you're unfamiliar with the the Zika virus, its symptoms (mild fever) are spread by asshole mosquitos. Zika was the cultural health scare du jour for a few months in the time between when people stopped dying of ebola, and before we determined the lasting effects on the global health scale of mouth-breathing from the 2016 roster of Presidential candidates.
