Life is Beautiful Because Kindland Is Bringing the Weed
High history is being made in Las Vegas this weekend.
The Life is Beautiful music festival has partnered with KINDLAND, making the site you are reading the first cannabis-focused company to come on board as a sponsor to a major U.S. music festival.
Las Vegas-based Life is Beautiful is a three-day celebration of hot sounds and warm souls, running September 23 through September 25 in downtown Vegas. Expect more than 150,000 attendees, and gorgeous performances by dozens of global artists including Jane’s Addiction, The Lumineers, Mumford and Sons, G-Eazy, Die Antwoord, and too many more to list without bumming out our East Coast readership.
On top of that overflow of musical talent, a Fremont Street venue has been tricked out as the KINDLAND House, a live comedy club and cannabis-community showcase.
The cooperation between KINDLAND and Life is Beautiful will be fun, funny, and refreshing, and will also set a historic precedent. The joint effort (get it?) marks the first time a cannabis-focused company will be represented inside the grounds of a major U.S. music festival. The partnership will see the transformation of a Life Is Beautiful venue at 7th and Fremont streets into the KINDLAND House, where revelers can enjoy funny people performing, live music, art, games, and an outdoor back-patio lounge under the comforting and trippy canopy of cooling misters and desert stars.
The KINDLAND House will be staffed and programmed in conjunction with High There! (a global cannabis-community social network), Blunt Box (a superior brand of prepared marijuana products), and Nevada Yes on 2 (Nevada’s initiative to regulate marijuana like alcohol).
Darren Roberts, co-founder and CEO of High There!, is stoked: “We see this event as a fantastic way to bring the community together in a live venue, around art, music, and culture, interests that High There! users connect around every day on our platform.”
Joe Brezny, spokesperson for Yes on 2, the Campaign to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol, is both practical and optimistic: “There will be literally thousands of attendees at Life is Beautiful who are passionate about ending marijuana prohibition in Nevada. The event provides an incredible opportunity to educate voters and recruit supporters for the final weeks of the campaign."
And a great chance to catch Jane’s Addiction live.
If you've already got tickets to Life is Beautiful, be sure to swing by KINDLAND House Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Or you can purchase tickets to Life is Beautiful here.
