Life on Death Row in California Isn't That Cruel And Unusual, Says U.S. 9th Circuit Court
On Thursday, a California federal appeals court overturned a federal judge’s ruling that found the state death penalty system unconstitutional. A three-judge panel of the U.S. 9th Circuit court of appeals struck the previous ruling down, saying it did not address whether life on Death Row in California constituted cruel and unusual punishment.
