Three of Santa Ana's Prick Cops No Longer on Force

A lesson in how not to police marijuana.

A (not-so) long time ago, three Santa Ana police officers brought shame to all of Orange County.

Former officers Brandon Matthew Sontag, 31; Nicole Lynn Quijas, 37; and Jorge Arroyo, 32; starred in their very own viral video, after security cam footage of the cops acting like complete and utter bungholes during a May 2015 raid at Santa Ana's Sky High Holistic dispensary was released and went viral.

Sky High Holistic was suspected of slanging medical dope sans a permit. According to the Orange County Register, the raid-gone-wrong went down like this:

"The video, which made national headlines, showed officers serving a search warrant at Sky High. They ordered customers and employees to the ground and two made demeaning remarks about Sky High volunteer Marla James, an amputee in a wheelchair seen in the video."

Last week, department spokesman Cpl. Anthony Bertagna told the Register, "Both Sontag and Quijas’s last day was May 6, and Arroyo’s was April 20."

Which means as you were blazing down on your umpteenth blunt of the day last 4/20, one of the disgraced public servants became just another asshole civilian. Unless, of course, Arroyo simply transferred to another department.

It is unclear if the three officers, who were also shown in the video dismantling what they presumed was every single surveillance camera in the shop and munching down on snacks that seemed to have been plucked like doughnuts from the Sky High Holistic display cases, were fired or turned in their badges by their own accord.

Looking at the glass half full: The 2015 raid inspired its own drug zine. And Sky High Holistic is still doing it's thing (and also selling weed) in the O.C.
