South Africa Invaded by UFOs (Kind of)
South Africa was almost invaded by UFOs over the weekend, or at least some believers thought. Turns out, people on social media were wrong, and they were just staring at awesome clouds. According to National Geographic this crazy cloud phenomena is technically called “lenticular clouds,” and they are fairly common.
Meteorologists call them lenticular clouds, which form when strong, moist winds blow over rough terrain, such as mountains or valleys.
And, if you Google 'UFO' you will most likely see these clouds, because people around the world still can't figure out that they are just clouds, not aliens. Call them UFO's if you must, but we've compiled some of the most stunning images of the phenom for your viewing pleasure.
