Old people rule. And in 2016 America, the elderly are trying weed for the first time, or picking up a diversion from their younger years, and the olds are doing it at a much higher rate than their millennial grandchildren.
From CBS News:
"The 55-and-older crowd is now the fastest-growing demographic of pot users in the country. Between 2013 and 2014, the number increased from 2.8 million to 4.3 million. Marijuana use is up 53 percent with the 55-and-over crowd."
The statistics of elevated elderly folk, and reports of entire dabbing families getting lit, come on the heels of more numbers linking less teens to more weed consumption. University of Texas, Austin, researchers found that teens digging into devil's lettuce for the first time, do so more commonly after said boogers have turned 18.
