Women's Lib: Erin Gibson
This installment of Women’s Lib celebrates comedian/feminist/all-around-queen Erin Gibson, co-host of the popular "Throwing Shade" podcast.
On "Throwing Shade," she and co-host Bryan Safi tackle all the week's headlines related to gays and women, "and treat them with much less respect than they deserve," according to the twosome. They've been called "equal opportunity offenders who lack any sort of filter" by the AV Club, and Rolling Stone put the pair on its list of "The 20 Best Comedy Podcasts" earlier this year.
Erin carved out a name for herself as a performer and writer at the Second City Chicago and the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in L.A., before moving on to FunnyOrDie, where she writes, performs, and directs. Erin has appeared as Michelle Duggar and Melania Trump in videos for the site and created the popular “Gay of Thrones” series, starring her charismatic hair stylist, Jonathan Van Ness, as he recaps each episode of the HBO series, week to week. She's also appeared on Chelsea Lately, Kroll Show, Parks and Recreation, Community, Key & Peele and more.
In this video, Erin invites you into her home and office while she prepares for the popular weekly podcast, opening up her fridge to show a few of the edibles she loves. Then, she heads over to meet Bryan and record their latest episode together.
Each week "Women's Lib" checks in with amazing ladies, and we make them fill out a feminist Mad Lib. Here's Erin's!
